DISPOSABLE CONTACT LENSES – INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE
The following is important use and safety information. Please read carefully and retain for future reference. Always follow instructions provided by your eye care professional. Bescon Coloured and Crazy Eye Disposable Contact Lenses have a life span of up to 3 months once the seal is open. They should not be worn more than 20 times during this period.
BEFORE HANDLING YOUR LENSES
Have your eyes examined by an optometrist or registered eye care professional to ensure your eyes are suitable to use contact lenses. Disposable contact lenses are not suitable for all eyes. Wash, rinse and dry your hand thoroughly. Check the contact lenses – if there is any damage to the lens, discard and use a new lens.
INSERTING YOUR LENSES
To avoid the possibility of mix-ups, always begin with the same lens (right eye or left eye). Place the lens on the tip of the index finger of your dominant hand. Using the middle finger of your other hand, pull and hold your upper eyelid firmly open. Pull down your lower eyelid using the middle finger of your inserting hand. Look ahead and place the lens gently on the lower white part of the eye. Look down to position the lens correctly. Slow release the eyelids and close your eyes for a moment. After moving your eyeball several times, the lens will centre automatically. Insert the other lens using the same procedure.
REMOVING YOUR LENSES
Wash, rinse and dry your hands thoroughly. Open your eyelids with the middle finger of both your hands. Using the tip of your index finger of your dominant hand, pull the lens down and slide it to the lower white part of the eye. Gently squeeze the lens between the index finger and the thumb. Remove it from your eye. Remove the other lens using the same procedure.
LENS CARE CLEANING AND STORING
Purchase a specialized all in one contact lens care solution from your pharmacy. Place the lens in the palm of your hand and pour some fresh eye solution over the lens. Rub each side of the lens for 20 seconds with the forefinger. Thoroughly rinse each side with the eye solution. Store the lenses in the fresh eye solution in the lens case. Keep the left lens in left side of the case and the right lens in right side.
CAUTION – NO SHARING OF LENSES
To maintain the health of your eyes and extend the life of your lenses use a specialized contact lens care solution ONLY and clean the lens case weekly. Remove the lenses before sleeping, bathing and swimming. Protect the contact lenses from chemicals such as cosmetics, creams, smoke, etc. Wear the contact lenses before applying and before removing makeup. Avoid applying any eye drops or ointments (except fresh drops) while wearing the lenses. If eye discomfort occurs, remove the contact lenses immediately and see your eye care professional.
